Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra University men’s soccer team won the Colonial Athletic Association regular season championship thanks to Northeastern’s victory over James Madison on Saturday night. Pride will be the seed of this week’s CAA Championship. Additionally, CAA has announced that Hofstra University and Hofstra Soccer Stadium will host the 2021 CAA Men’s Soccer Championship.
The CAA semi-finals are Thursday, November 11 with a pair of games starting at 4:30 p.m. with seed Hofstra taking on No 4 seed Drexel. Game 2 will feature second-seed Northeastern and third-seed Elon and start at 7:30 pm The winners of Thursday’s semi-finals will advance to the CAA Championship game on Sunday, November 14. at 13h.
There will be no admission fee for the CAA Championship. In accordance with Hofstra health and safety protocols, unvaccinated guests who are unable to maintain the distance should wear a face shield or cloth face covering in the Hofstra football stadium.
All three matches will be broadcast live on FloFC and live stats will also be available.
This will be the third time that the Hofstra Soccer Stadium has hosted the CAA Championship. Pride served as the host for the semifinals and finals in 2015 and 2016. Hofstra won the 2015 CAA Championship on his home turf, beating Delaware in the final, 2-0.
